Our Mission
Maknoon Academy exists because where you happen to live should never decide whether you can study Arabic or the Quran. We set out to put willing students and properly qualified native teachers in the same room, wherever in the world that room happens to be.
Our teaching centres on Fusha, or Modern Standard Arabic — the formal register found in books, journalism, schooling, and official life across the Arab world. Where dialects shift from one country to the next, Fusha is understood everywhere and unlocks a deep cultural inheritance.
Every one of our teachers was born and raised in Egypt, and that lifetime of speaking the language shapes how they teach.
